Rates & Insurance

Rates

Individual Therapy

50-Minute Session: $180

For extended EMDR sessions, I offer a prorated rate based on my standard hourly fee. This allows flexibility in session length to best suit your needs.

Insurance

I am not paneled directly with any insurance companies due to the restrictions in mental health coverage. I want to provide the best possible services to you, and being out-of-network is how I have managed to do that.

I can provide super-bills for out-of-network coverage for PPO plans. Claim submission and reimbursement is between the client and their insurance provider. This means the client is solely responsible for payment at the time of the session.

Frequently Asked Questions

In my personalized, compassionate approach to counseling, I focus on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and understood. I believe that each individual’s journey is unique, so I tailor my methods to your specific needs, goals, and circumstances. Together, we will explore your emotions, challenges, and strengths at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My approach is rooted in empathy and active listening, ensuring that you feel empowered to work through your challenges while building on your inner resilience. Throughout our sessions, you can expect a collaborative, nurturing environment where you are the expert of your own life, and I am here to guide and support you along the way.

The length of therapy varies for each individual, as it depends on your personal goals, the challenges you’re working through, and your pace of progress. Some clients find clarity and resolution in just a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. Therapy is a deeply personal journey, and there is no set timeline for how long it takes. Together, we will regularly check in on your progress, ensuring that you feel comfortable and confident with the direction of our work. My goal is to provide you with the tools and insights you need to thrive, for as long as you need them.

Our telehealth services are designed to be both convenient and secure, ensuring that your privacy and confidentiality are always protected. We use HIPAA-compliant platforms that meet the highest security standards, so you can feel confident that your personal information and our conversations remain private. Telehealth allows you to access therapy from the comfort of your own space, without sacrificing the quality or safety of in-person sessions.

  1. Insurance companies limit and dictate most of your treatment. They decide how long sessions last, how long you can receive treatment, and when they will stop paying. By opting not to use insurance, we can focus more on what is truly best for you and your therapy without the limitations dictated by insurance.

  2. I protect your privacy. In order to reimburse for services, most insurance companies require specific information about your therapy sessions. When you use insurance, you are agreeing to give the insurance company access to your confidential therapy records. I take your confidentiality and privacy very seriously and do not feel comfortable submitting your private therapy notes from our sessions to your insurance company.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy that helps you process difficult or traumatic memories so they no longer have power over your present life. Sometimes, past experiences can feel “stuck,” causing you to relive the emotional pain or distress whenever you’re reminded of them. The goal of EMDR is to help your brain reprocess these memories so they become just that—memories, without the strong emotional charge.

During the process, we’ll focus on a specific memory while you follow a series of eye movements or taps. This allows your brain to work through the memory in a new way, reducing the intensity of the emotions connected to it. As we continue through sessions, the past becomes just that—the past. You’ll no longer feel triggered by the negative experiences or traumatic events that once impacted your daily life. The ultimate goal is to help you feel more grounded in the present, without being pulled back into painful feelings from the past.

Yes! Confidentiality is a cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship I offer. Everything you share in our sessions stays between us, providing you with a safe and private space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges. This trust is essential to creating a supportive environment where you feel comfortable and respected.

Exceptions to Confidentiality

While your privacy is my priority, there are specific circumstances where I am legally or ethically required to break confidentiality:

 1. Risk of Harm to Yourself or Others:
If you express intentions to harm yourself or someone else, I am required to take steps to ensure everyone’s safety, which may involve notifying emergency contacts or authorities.
 2. Abuse or Neglect of Vulnerable Individuals:
If I have reason to believe that a child, elderly person, or dependent adult is being abused or neglected, I am mandated to report this to the appropriate protective services.
 3. Court Orders:
If a court of law orders the release of your records, I may be required to comply.
 4. Legal Defense:
If you file a complaint or lawsuit against me, I may need to disclose information to defend myself against those claims.
These exceptions are rare, but when they arise, I handle them with the utmost care and sensitivity, always prioritizing your well-being and dignity.

If you have any questions or concerns about confidentiality, please feel free to ask. Transparency is an important part of my commitment to your care.
